The authorities of Ukraine announced the commencement of a new wave of urgent evacuation of families with children in the Donetsk region to the eastern part of the country, where the Russian army continues to advance. This followed a similar decision made in the Kharkiv region in the northeast. The governor of the Donetsk region, Vadim Vilaskin, reported on Telegram: "We have decided to begin the urgent evacuation of families with children" in 25 small villages not far from the town of Bakhmut, which is a strategic target for the Russian army in this area, as well as in the south from the village of Komar in the Kyiv region. According to Vilaskin, there are still 110 children living in this area. These actions by the government are indicative of the deteriorating situation of the Ukrainian army, with territorial losses that are increasing weekly after three years of war.
