Russia launched attacks against Ukraine, causing at least 17 injuries in the city of Kryvyi Rig. It was reported that the targets were residential areas, including a partially destroyed administrative building, in addition to damages to homes and vehicles. A rescuer was injured in the incident.

In another attack, Ukraine claimed to have bombed a Russian explosives factory about 750 kilometers from the border, using drones. The Russian city of Nizhny Novgorod was the site of the attack, targeting energy and military facilities that are considered crucial for supplying the Russian army.

Russian authorities reported that drones attacked the industrial area of Dzerzhinsk, near Nizhny Novgorod, but assured that the attempt was thwarted. Despite this, four firefighters were slightly injured by shrapnel. The Sverdlov plant, one of the main Russian manufacturers of military explosives, has been sanctioned by the U.S. and the EU.

Meanwhile, in the Sumy region of Ukraine, Russia attacked an energy facility, leaving over 37,000 consumers without electricity. In the meantime, Ukraine is preparing for a harsh winter due to the destruction of much of its energy generation capacity by Russia.

Additionally, Russian authorities closed Kazan airport, about 1,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, for air safety reasons, possibly due to reports of Ukrainian drone attacks in the area. Russian President Vladimir Putin is scheduled to attend the BRICS summit in this city, where he will meet with leaders from China, Brazil, and Turkey.

As a result, the Kremlin intensified attacks on residential and energy areas in Ukraine, while the Sverdlov plant was one of the facilities sanctioned by the West.
