Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky met with senior military officers to discuss shortcomings in air defense and other aspects of protecting civilians from attacks, nearly four years into the Russian war in Ukraine. Zelensky stated that he held extensive discussions with the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the Chief of the General Staff, and the Minister of Defense. In his evening video address, Zelensky also assessed how local authorities in Ukrainian cities are coping with the consequences of intense Russian attacks, particularly regarding the provision of electricity and heating to residential high-rise buildings. Zelensky said: «A number of changes have taken place, and he once again criticized officials in the capital, Kyiv».
