According to a statement by Ukrainian officials, it was reported that five individuals were killed and more than 30 people were injured as a result of the Russian attack on the village of Izium in the Kharkiv region in northeastern Ukraine.

Eyewitnesses described the attack as brutal and destructive. One of the residents of Izium recounted: "Everything happened so suddenly. Explosions were everywhere, people were screaming, fleeing in panic. It was a real nightmare."

Emergency services were dispatched to the scene to provide assistance to the victims and to carry out work to eliminate the aftermath of the attack. Local authorities stated that among the injured were women and children, and they were accommodated in nearby hospitals.

The President of Ukraine stated that they are determined to take all necessary steps to protect their citizens and to bring those responsible for this terror to justice.
