Kyiv confirmed on Thursday that its negotiations with partners in the European Union and NATO regarding Ukraine's accession to the alliance are progressing successfully. Ukraine aims to strengthen its ties with the West and gain potential support in case of a conflict with Russia.
During the negotiations, a number of important issues are being discussed, including reforms in the defense sector and the provision of financial assistance for Ukrainian Armed Forces. Representatives of Kyiv expressed hope for a positive resolution on the issue of Ukraine's recognition as a NATO candidate.
"We are pleased to confirm the continuation of our partnership relations with the European Union and NATO. We hope for further cooperation and support," stated the representative of the Ukrainian government.
Kyiv is also enhancing diplomatic efforts to strengthen international support and protect its interests in the region.
