Yesterday, on Sunday, the Ministry of Defense of Russia announced that its troops liberated a new settlement in the east of Ukraine.
According to the statement from the Ministry of Defense, Russian military seized control over the settlement located in the area where fighting continues between the occupiers and the Ukrainian army.
"We continue to advance and increase our presence in the region," the statement from the Ministry of Defense says.
At the same time, a representative of the Ukrainian army stated that they continue to repel and defend their territory: "We will not allow the occupiers to invade our land. We are prepared to repel any attack."
Sources claim that the situation in the region remains tense, despite some ceasefires that have been announced in recent times.
