World Expert Kate Kelly, sent by US President Donald Trump to Ukraine, stated that the success of any negotiations for a resolution to end the conflict in Eastern Ukraine requires concessions from both Kyiv and Moscow. "Both sides must exert efforts to achieve peace," he noted after a meeting with representatives of the Ukrainian and Russian governments. "Only through concessions and compromises can we come to a constructive resolution of this problem". Kelly emphasized the importance of dialogue and interaction between the conflicting parties. He also underscored that the United States is ready to assist in resolving the conflict, but the initiative must come from Ukraine and Russia. Both sides should continue to exert efforts to seek a peaceful resolution, which will be acceptable to all interested parties.
