The organization for the prohibition of chemical weapons stated on Friday that it had discovered the banned substance 'SIS' in nine samples provided by Ukraine, and its source is the front line in the war with Russia.
The organization conducted an analysis of samples collected from various sections of the border between Ukraine and Russia. They found the presence of the chemical substance 'SIS', which is banned according to international norms.
One of the representatives of the organization stated: 'We cannot directly point to the guilty, but the materials were collected in territory controlled by government forces, as well as in areas that are under the control of illegal groups.'
This discovery has raised serious concerns in connection with the situation in the east of Ukraine and the ongoing conflict with Russia.
