The US mediator in Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, confirmed on Monday that there will be no requirement from Kyiv to accept any agreements that were negotiated by President Donald Trump regarding the end of the Russian-Ukrainian war.
According to him: "I think that Kyiv itself should decide what is best for it. They should make the choice and take a decision based on themselves and their people. This is their decision, this is their country, and I believe that this is their responsibility. And I assume that it will remain that way." Kellogg emphasized that the US supports Ukraine in its pursuit of a peaceful resolution to the conflict, but will also defend it if "Moscow starts aggressive actions again."
