The international diplomatic representative of the US President Donald Trump for Ukraine, Kurt Volker, arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday. This happened amid rising tensions between Kyiv and Moscow following the incident in the Black Sea. Volker came at a time when Ukraine is bolstering its military presence at the border with occupied Crimea.
As reported by the source, Volker is set to hold a series of meetings with Ukrainian officials to discuss the situation in the region and express support from the US side. A representative of the US presidential administration expressed concern over Russia's actions in the context of the Ukrainian-Russian border and in Crimea.
Volker stated: "I am in Ukraine to reaffirm the unwavering support of the United States for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine in light of actions taken by Russia at the border. We are deeply concerned by the scale and aggressive nature of Russian actions."
