The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky rejected the requirement of the United States regarding the extraction of mineral resources. Zelensky asserts that Ukraine will maintain control over its wealth, not allowing other countries to interfere in this process. "We will not be handing anything over to anyone, we will control our land, our territory," stated the head of the Ukrainian state. He also added that the country's authorities plan to carry out reforms in the field of natural resource extraction to ensure transparency and effectiveness of this process. "We know what needs to be done, and we will do it," Zelensky emphasized, without specifying the details of the proposed reforms. Instead, he expressed confidence that Ukraine will be able to independently manage its resources without resorting to outside help.
