
U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken called on UN member states to support the resolution proposed by Washington, calling for a 'swift end' to the war between Russia and Ukraine, while not mentioning Ukraine's territorial integrity.
"The U.S. presented a straightforward historical resolution in the UN and calls upon all member states to support it with the aim of charting a path to peace," said Blinken.
The U.S. proposed to the UN General Assembly a resolution project, calling for a 'rapid conclusion' to the conflict in Ukraine without mentioning the country’s territorial integrity, the text states, as noted by French Press Agency.
"This is a good idea, at the same time as...," added Blinken.
