Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Monday that the country is ready for membership in NATO and the European Union, but for this, a number of conditions need to be met. Among them are the adoption of a new Constitution and a referendum.
Zelensky noted that Ukraine must go through a complex path before becoming a member of NATO and the EU, but this is the main strategic goal of the country. According to him, for joining these organizations, a renewed Constitution is required, as well as consultations with citizens on the referendum.
"To become a member of NATO and the EU, Ukraine must go through a complex path: a new Constitution of the country, referendums, demilitarization of production, starting with internal reforms," Zelensky stated.
