US President Donald Trump stated in the media that ensuring the security of Kyiv should be the responsibility of Europe, having refused to provide American guarantees.
Trump said: "Why should we provide guarantees for Ukraine? Let Europe do it."
This position became known after Ukraine and Belarus signed a declaration on strategic partnership, which contains a mention of security guarantees for Kyiv.
