The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated on Tuesday that he requested from Washington "official information" regarding the freezing of American military aid, for which former President Donald Trump was responsible. According to him, he turned to the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, heads of intelligence services, and diplomats asking to connect with their American colleagues and obtain official data. Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine and the USA need dialogue based on mutual respect and a clear position.
"People are dying, I don't want someone from us to die due to instability or politics," the president said.
He instructed his ministers and diplomats to start communicating with American partners. The situation with the freezing of financial aid turned out to be a challenge for Ukraine amid the ongoing fight with separatists in the eastern part of the country. Zelensky expressed hope for a prompt resolution of this issue.
