The President of the United States, Donald Trump, revealed that Ukraine is willing to sign an agreement on minerals and security at any convenient time, citing a letter from his Ukrainian counterpart, Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump expressed his gratitude for the letter and mentioned that they have maintained serious discussions with Russia, receiving positive signals regarding Russia's willingness for peace.

The White House was the scene of a heated exchange between Trump and Zelensky on Friday, leading to the bilateral agreement on minerals not being signed as planned. According to the Xinhua news agency, Trump highlighted that the overall approach towards peace is positive, although there are still nuances to resolve.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov responded positively to Zelensky's willingness to initiate peace talks, but noted that Ukraine's legal prohibition to negotiate with Russia remains in effect. Peskov also mentioned that the Kremlin views Ukraine's willingness to seek peace favorably.

During a joint session of Congress, Trump revealed that he received an "important letter" from Zelensky expressing Ukraine's readiness to sit at the negotiating table as soon as possible in search of lasting peace. In summary, the signals emitted by Ukraine and Russia point to a possible avenue for negotiating peace in the region.
