Ukraine has appeared before the United States during negotiations that took place on Tuesday in Jidda. According to information received from sources close to the matter, a plan was discussed to supply additional weapons to Kyiv in response to Russia's attack on eastern Ukraine.
As sources report, Ukraine is asking the U.S. to expedite arms deliveries, including anti-aircraft systems and ground-to-air missiles, to ensure security at the front in Donbas. However, it remains unclear whether such assistance will be realized, as it could ease tensions between Kyiv and Moscow. At the same time, the U.S. continues to support Ukraine in its efforts to reclaim its territory.
Official representatives from both the Ukrainian and American governments did not comment on this information. The American secretary, present at the talks, also did not provide commentary on this issue.
Arms supplies to Ukraine are causing certain debates among international communities. Critics argue that such actions could intensify tensions in the region and lead to an escalation of conflict; however, proponents of such supplies assert that this is necessary to ensure the country's security.
