The Chinese delegation expressed readiness to support Russia in achieving peace in Ukraine and do everything possible to facilitate the process of ending the fire.
"We hope that the parties will be able to find a common language and agree on a ceasefire in Ukraine," said the representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry.
In turn, Andrei Samsonov, a political scientist from Moscow State University, noted: "Countries that serve as intermediaries, including China, have a key role in resolving the crisis in Ukraine. Their involvement can contribute to the peaceful settlement of the conflict."
It is noteworthy that the capital of Kyiv has already been under fire for several years due to hostilities that led to a humanitarian catastrophe.
