The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, stated that Russia has intensified its attacks in the morning on Sunday, despite Moscow's announced cessation of fire in connection with Easter.
"They [the Russians] have been carrying out attacks against Ukraine for a long time. They did not stop their assaults even during the religious holidays," the Ukrainian President pointed out the continued Russian aggression against his country and their disregard for the cessation of fire.
This coincided with the announcement of a truce due to the major Christian religious holiday, which resulted in the deaths of 4 Ukrainian soldiers and 2 others injured during the Russian attacks.
