Russian Army Announces Capture of Two Villages in Southern Ukraine

The Russian army announced yesterday its control over two villages in southern Ukraine, where its forces continue their slow advance, leveraging their numerical superiority along the wide front. Russia's Ministry of Defense, via its Telegram channel, stated that its forces had taken control of the villages of Rovnopillia and Mala Tokmacha in the Zaporizhzhia region. Last week, Russia also announced the capture of two other villages there. Military operations on the Zaporizhzhia front are less intense than those in the east, but Russian forces, superior in number and equipment, continue to make gradual territorial gains in this area. In the east, the battles aim to capture the city of Pokrovsk, which Russian soldiers have managed to enter in recent weeks, breaching Ukrainian defenses.
