The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, is named in a suspicion notice against businessman Timur Mindich, according to a document from the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine [NABU], published by opposition deputy of the Verkhovna Rada [Ukrainian parliament] Alexei Goncharenko, international media reported. 'Taking advantage of the situation that had arisen in Ukraine during the period of martial law, his friendly relations with [...] Zelensky and his connections with current and former high-ranking officials of state bodies and law enforcement agencies, thus using his considerable influence in the state, Timur Mindich decided to enrich himself illegally,' the document states. It adds that Mindich organized 'the commission of crimes in various areas of Ukraine's economy with the aim of satisfying his own needs.' Goncharenko launched a direct message on his Telegram channel: 'Mindich was an intermediate manager.'
'Volodymyr Zelensky?', speculated. Spoiler: it's not a casting.' 'The issue of corruption in Ukraine is no novelty, and particularly, Zelensky's entourage,' emphasized the Argentine political scientist, Mariano Ciafardini, quoted by the Actualidad RT site. He asserted that 'Zelensky has become a millionaire, and not precisely with his profession as an actor.' 'This has been going on for years and he has used the conflict for his personal enrichment and that has been precisely one of the reasons that led [the US President, Donald] Trump to raise the need to stop sending economic aid to Ukraine because, among other things, it was not well known where the money was going,' added the expert consulted by the Russian site. 'Who was Mindich's manager then? It seems that Zelensky is, little by little, being 'tried on' the 'pinstripe suit', but black and white. Perhaps his friend?'
