Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated on Wednesday that Russia is preparing for a 'new year of war' in Ukraine in 2026, following statements by his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, who confirmed that Moscow's goals in the country 'will certainly be achieved'. Zelensky said in his daily address: 'Today we heard a new signal from Moscow that they (the Russians) are preparing to make the coming year a new year of war'.
