Kyiv ordered on Wednesday the evacuation of about 30 families with children from five towns in the Zaporizhzhia region (south) near the front line with Russia, according to a government announcement. Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Kolyba said on social media: «We have made a difficult but necessary decision: to order the evacuation of children accompanied by their parents or legal guardians from five towns in the Zaporizhzhia region». He noted that the order affects «about 40 children from 26 families». Kolyba added that the decision was made following «continuous shelling», as the region now faces a threat to new towns.
