On Saturday, Kyiv and its surrounding areas were hit by power outages following fresh Russian rocket and artillery strikes. The private company Dtek reported that over a million homes lost electricity.
"We have lost power in more than a million residential houses," a Dtek spokesperson said.
Repair crews are working to restore damaged lines, but frequent shelling makes the task difficult. As a result, many residents must rely on backup power, while transportation and municipal services face added challenges.
