The American President Joe Biden made a mistake by expressing an opinion on the possible accession of Ukraine to NATO. This was stated by former US President Donald Trump. Trump also noted that according to statements by the current administration of the Pentagon, the likelihood of Ukraine joining NATO is low. In connection with this, various initiatives from Washington are being criticized for their excessively hasty behavior before Moscow.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the country does not agree to a bilateral decision of its judiciary without the participation of Kyiv in the negotiation process with Moscow and Washington. These statements were made after Washington's remarks about the possible further суд of Ukraine and possible accession to NATO.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg emphasized that Ukraine is not a member of the alliance after the completion of the conflict, and that negotiations should focus on ensuring long-term peace. He supported this position at the security conference in Munich. The representative of the European Union, Kaja Kallas, also pointed out that any agreements regarding Ukraine without the EU's involvement are fraught with failure.
