Ukraine Appoints Team for Peace Talks

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky appointed a team for representing Kyiv in possible peace negotiations after the end of the war, which has lasted more than three years, with Russia, as it was announced in a presidential decree on Saturday.

It is important to note that in mid-July, Ukraine's Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba expressed hope for new negotiations "directly between the presidents of Ukraine and Russia" in the near future.

According to Zelensky's words, the team will work based on the Minsk agreements and "address issues of security and political regulation" of the conflict in the escalation of Ukraine.

"I believe that dialogue should take place. There are no alternatives to dialogue. Negotiations are necessary," Zelensky noted.
