Kyiv, (AFP) — Kyiv announced on Friday that it has received from Russia the remains of more than 1,000 people whom Moscow claims are Ukrainian soldiers killed in battles with the Russian army. A statement from Kyiv's Coordination Center for Prisoner of War Affairs said: "Today, an operation was carried out to recover 1,033 bodies, which the Russian side claims are the remains of Ukrainian soldiers returned to Ukraine".

Kyiv announced on Friday the receipt of over 1,000 remains from Russia, which Moscow claims are Ukrainian soldiers killed in combat. The operation to recover the bodies was carried out by the Coordination Center for Prisoner of War Affairs.
