British Armed Forces Minister Alistair Carns stated that Ukraine is capable of playing a significant role in international efforts to secure the Strait of Hormuz, praising Kyiv's drone technology as among the best in the world. This month, the UK organized discussions involving over 30 countries to discuss reopening the strait amidst an Iranian blockade that had cut off global oil supplies following U.S. and Israeli attacks on Iran. Last week, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Kyiv had participated in consultations on protecting navigation, leveraging the experience gained from its four-year war with Russia. Ukraine has over 200 Middle East experts who have managed to shoot down long-range Iranian Shahed drones. During a visit to Kyiv on Friday, Carnz said: "Ukraine possesses some of the best technologies in the world that it has developed here during the war."
