Authorities reported minor damage to civil infrastructure caused by the fall of drone debris in three districts of the city. During the night from Sunday to Monday, Russia launched three missiles and over 100 drones at Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

U.S. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit shortly after the Russian drone attacks on the Ukrainian capital. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was pressing his allies to maintain military support in the war.

During his fourth visit to the country, Austin highlighted the support from the United States and the international community for Ukraine. The country is struggling to contain the Russian campaign on the eastern front, which has forced Kyiv's forces to retreat in various areas.

Zelenskyy called on his Western allies to support his "victory plan" and end the conflict that has claimed numerous lives. Although he has received positive signals from some allies in Europe, such as France and Lithuania, the stance of the United States is crucial in this scenario.

The new Russian attacks in Kyiv, Odesa, and Zaporizhia underscore the urgency of obtaining more international support. An attack in Zaporizhia injured seven people and caused significant damage to civil infrastructure, including a kindergarten and more than 30 residential buildings. The sound of machine guns and drone engines echoed in the center of Kyiv during the night.
