Last night, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged his partners to act to prevent North Korea from becoming involved in the conflict alongside Russia. Zelensky expressed his concern, mentioning that pressure on Pyongyang does not seem to be sufficient if it has the ability to intervene in Europe.
Reports indicate that Moscow may be preparing two brigades composed of 6,000 North Korean soldiers each to join Russian forces in combat against Ukraine. According to South Korean intelligence sources, Russia and North Korea are collaborating to deploy a total of 12,000 North Korean soldiers on the battlefield.
Zelensky described the creation of these units as a challenge for Ukraine and the international community as a whole. The Ukrainian leader called for a firm and concrete response from the global community, emphasizing the need to stop the aggressors. In his words: "Let's hope it is not just in words."
