Russian forces have thwarted an attempt by Ukraine to incursion into their territory, reports the governor of Bryansk. The situation remains under control following the attack.

Skirmishes at the Ukrainian Border

In southwest Russia, Russian forces have thwarted an attempted cross-border incursion from Ukraine, reported the governor of the Bryansk region. Apparently, an armed group tried to cross the border but was repelled. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian air force has shot down 41 drones sent from Russia to its territory.

In previous incursions in the Russian regions of Belgorod and Bryansk, two groups have emerged that claimed responsibility: the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom Legion of Russia. Despite efforts to downplay Kiev's campaign in Kursk, Ukrainian forces still remain in the province.

Governor Bogomaz did not confirm whether Ukrainian soldiers carried out the attack but assured that the situation is under control of the Russian army. On the other hand, Russian President Vladimir Putin has mentioned that Moscow is evaluating possible responses if Ukraine is granted permission to launch long-range missiles towards Russian territory.

Amidst these events, reports have emerged about the downfall of Ukrainian drones over Bryansk and other places in Russia, as well as attacks that have claimed civilian lives in Kherson. Incidents have been recorded in several Russian regions, including Tambov, hundreds of kilometers from the Ukrainian border.

For their part, Russian soldiers have been equipped with winter clothing, and there is speculation about the possible arrival of North Korean forces to reinforce operations. Recently, a military assistance pact between Russia and North Korea was ratified, and there have been reports of North Korean units present in Kursk. Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
