The High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, met in Kiev with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, marking the fifth visit of the Spanish politician to Ukraine since the beginning of the large-scale Russian invasion.
During his latest trip to Ukraine as head of European diplomacy, Zelensky highlighted on his social media the unwavering support of Borrell and his total commitment to the Ukrainian people during his term. During the talks, cooperation between both parties, defense assistance from the EU, and the possibility that Ukraine's main military allies may lift restrictions on the use of weapons against Russia were discussed.
Additionally, the politicians discussed the final details for the realization of the 50 billion credit granted to Ukraine by the G7, which will be backed by the interests generated from frozen Russian assets in the member countries.
