An attack by the Ukrainian army has caused power outages for over 200,000 homes in Russian-occupied areas of southern Ukraine, according to authorities appointed by Moscow. Vladimir Saldo, the governor appointed by Moscow to administer the neighboring Kherson region, reported on Saturday evening that a Ukrainian strike hit a substation, leading to power cuts in 14 cities. Yevgeny Balitsky, who oversees Russian-occupied areas, wrote on Telegram: «Following an enemy attack on energy infrastructure in the region, a large part of the Zaporizhzhia region has been left without electricity». He explained that after the attack, 213,000 subscribers and 386 settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region were left without power.
