Russian forces have taken control of two new towns in eastern Ukraine, while a Ukrainian official stated that only US President Donald Trump has the ability to stop the war, and acknowledged that the remaining obstacle to achieving peace is land and security guarantees. Russia's Ministry of Defense reported on Sunday that its forces had taken control of the towns of Sydorivka in Sumy Oblast and Hlukhivka in Kharkiv. The ministry stated that the Ukrainian army suffered about 1105 soldiers in the last 24 hours. Most regions of Ukraine are experiencing emergency power outages.
