Russian forces continue to target energy and transport infrastructure linked to the Ukrainian army amid reports of a new round of negotiations to end the war next week. At the same time, Slovakia and Hungary have halted electricity supplies to Ukraine, and the 20th package of European sanctions against Moscow is likely to fail due to Hungary's opposition. Russia's Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its forces struck energy, fuel, and transport infrastructure facilities used by the Ukrainian army. The ministry added that Russian strikes also targeted temporary deployment points for Ukrainian army formations in 148 areas, noting that the Ukrainian army lost about 1,355 soldiers in the last 24 hours.
